Lower eyelid cosmetic surgery is a procedure sought by many who suffer from excess sagging and puffiness in the under-eye area to rejuvenate the eye's appearance. The focus of lower eyelid surgery is on the area between the eyelashes and the cheek.
Lower eyelid cosmetic surgery can be performed either from inside the eyelid or from outside.
If the surgery is performed from inside, we make the incision from the conjnctival side of the lower eyelid to remove fat, and in this case, the incisions will not be visible.
If the surgery is performed from outside, an inconspicuous incision is made directly below the eyelashes, through which excess skin, muscles, and fat are removed. Usually, the incision line fades after a short time without leaving any trace.
In the next video, Dr. Osama Abdel Hakim discusses lower eyelid cosmetic surgeries.
It should be noted that lower eyelid cosmetic surgery will not remove dark circles under the eyes or facial wrinkles, so we often need laser sessions for the face or Botox injections to address such changes.
Usually, there will be swelling and bruising around the eye after lower eyelid cosmetic surgery, but this does not cause any problems.
