Squint Evaluation

The most important step for successfully treating strabismus is accurate diagnosis of the type of strabismus and measurement of its severity.

Typically, this is done in clinics using traditional methods by the physician, often involving a specialized instrument for measuring strabismus.

Unfortunately, this method relies entirely on the treating physician, which can unintentionally lead to errors due to its reliance solely on the human element.

At Dr. Osama Abdel Hakim's clinics, and for the first time in the Middle East, we have decided to utilize technology for diagnosing and measuring the degree of strabismus using an amazing device called the "Gezelab."

This device is used for individuals aged four years and above. It is placed on the patient's head and connected to a dedicated computer. The patient is then asked to focus on a specific point that I indicate on a board in front of them, while the device tracks their eye movement with extreme precision.

Through an attached computer, we can determine the type and severity of the strabismus, and the results are recorded and printed out. As a result, strabismus correction can be performed with high precision and much higher success rates compared to traditional diagnosis and measurement methods.

Let's watch the next video where Dr. Osama Abdel Hakim discusses computerized strabismus measurement and the device used for this purpose.

Using this device, for strabismus measurement, has enabled us to accurately diagnose and measure strabismus in many patients, which has helped us to achieve high success rates in treating strabismus.

Let's watch the next video, which demonstrates the use of the computerized strabismus measurement device at Dr. Osama Abdel Hakim's clinics.

Utilizing technology in the diagnosis and treatment of strabismus is a crucial step towards achieving the best treatment outcomes.
